Trixie has the Great and Powerful, Anyway (feat. Sci and Chain Algorithm)

from Pony Songs by Cats Millionaire

/

about

On Trixie’s internal struggle with feelings of magical inferiority. A reinterpretation of Sci’s “Rainbow Dash has the Best Place, Anyway”, which in turn is a remix of ChainAlgorithm’s “City of Royals”, composed for the 2D Pony MMO. For notacleverpony’s Brony vs. Brony Remix War Round II: The Great and Powerful Round featured on Equestria Daily.

lyrics

Magic and pageantry
When Trixie closes her eyes to sleep
She wonders what her dreams mean
To be the top student to the princess
Whose life is endless
Who raises and lowers the sun
To realize you possess the sixth element of harmony
And you have to save Equestria
It could’ve happened to any pony

“All the confidence I had built up suddenly disappeared. I felt like rainbow dash before the young flyer competition. I must have made this apparent on my face even though I tried to hide it, because my mom tells me that it isn't too late to go back. I reached for my pocket and held onto rainbow dash.”

No Ursa Major terrible baby star bear could tear her dreams apart
She’s got that balls to the wall you’ll-have-to-put-that-crazy-pony-down style magic flowing through her unicorn horn straight from her unicorn heart

Magic and pageantry
To be hot amongst the pyrotechnics
And still feel blue with envy
She wants to be better
For what it’s worth
She wants to enchant the whole wide world
She’s still just a filly
And really, mostly everypony has to learn to love themselves for who they are eventually

“It took me a little while to realize it. Slowly but surely I giggled, chortled, whooped it up, cracked up, practically yelling the lyrics while laughing, petting rainbow dash and even messing with her hair. I realized right then, that I got dressed for, ate lunch with and while looking him straight in the eye, told off my greatest fear, to his face.”

But sometimes it’s not that hard
And sometimes the stars don’t seem that far
